Envelope to Mike Dyar (USA) as thank you for the objec t he sent……
Because of some messages I got in through the IUOMA-platform located at:
I made this new VIP (Visual Impuls Poetry) and published it for others too.
Last week an interesting parcel from Mike Dyar arrived with in it an object that deserves some attention.
The backside of the parcel receils some details already. A.M. Fine and Ray Johnson, and Mike himself looking for the next question. The mail-interview with Mike Dyar (see on this blog at:
Was never finished and published when I ended the project.
Above the front cover of the parcel. Typical style of Mike, and I am off course curious on what the content will be,
Inside an object carefully wrapen with a paper that reads: CLEVERNESS – “Don’t you think Mr. Ray E. Johnson would enjoy a perfect vacation, through the end of this Cosmic Epoch ? “- A.M. Fine
Mike also wondered as to what the next question was. Since he is not on Internet, I will print out that question and will thank him for the sending. Also the backside reveils an explenation to this object and that reveals the story behind this.
Thank you Mike Dyar. Always a pleasure to receive your deep thoughts and generosity.
After getting lots of fountain pens which whom I write daily, I recently got some typewriters for the collection I will work in for the production of my art. The last one was built in the 60-ies and comes from Eastern Germany. The first tests are good. I have to do some cleaning and after n ew inkroles arrive first letters will be typed. It is a typical performance to use these machines in the time of computers.
Being a pataphysician is quite an experience. Time to share it through a foam rubber stamp made with the letters.
And a first print of the new made rubber stamp goes out to Miss Noma in Liverpool – UK. A special envelope with some of my typical mail-art styles. Included lots of special things, that is not documented with photos.
The spiral was made some decades ago. The special square one too. the concept of IUOMA fits in this world of pataphysics. The connections are made.
VIP (Visual Impuls Poetry) is what I call this. On coloured paper I have made a structure of acrylic layers. When I start to write I act on the impuls of the letters that form the sentence that is in my mind. It normally costs only a few minutes to write the letters down, and then the indian ink needs to dry. I sign and date.
The letters get larger and smaller, also sometimes take another turn and go to another place. Therefor the sentence becomes difficult to read for the viewer, and sometimes also for me. But the impulse is captured in a visual way. Oh, and the sentences are in Dutch Language most of the time.
Made a batch of 20 works today, and scanned them all, in case I send them away into the network and want to remember what I made.

Mail from Miss Noma came in today. A reply to a letter I sent to the UK last week. In it some very interesting copy-art in which my letter was used as a background with one of Rocola’s original rubberstamps on it. It is number 3 of 30 it reads.
Off course I got my own rubberstamp from Rocola from the TAM-Archive, and I see I have number 5 of 30. So where are the other 29? Seems Miss Norma has one of them, and that means it is connected to this specific bull…..
For the new observers I made some new photos of the front and back-side of the Bull. Are we still in contact with all these mail-artists?
A very special gift from Rocola (USA)…..
An envelope to the Moma for Jennifer Tobias. After scanning and sending I doscoverd that the postage stamps were missing. The artistamps were on it, but there is place for the original postage too…..
I will see if the envelope goes through or not. Actually an interesting experiment. I included an experimental letter as well for Jennifer. Will see if it reaches her and how she reacts:
This is a special envelope made for Jude Weimeir in USA. He always sends me the most interesting things, and because he is a composer I thought he might enjoy the circles that form his name and address. Several fonts were used, and protected with plastic and now on its way to San Diego in the USA. Hope it arrives safe and that he enjoys it.
