Intermedia Experiment – November 2017
For some graphics on Internet I developed a specific sequence:
- Make a drawing with Indian Ink on thick paper and let it dry
- Put some St. Petersburg Watercolours over the image and let it dry
- Make a digital photo of the result
- Guide it through a Roy Lichtenstein application to set the forms and tones like Roy would have done it.
The results are now on some Facebook groups as a banner, and to archive these works I have posted a few here as well.

Six new works I made the last weeks. Experiments with Indian ink, water and pen. Then composition added with watercolours and dated, signed and titled. Chaos and chance elements are added into these works. Something which I love to do and started when I discoverd art as a child. Somehow I like working like this and I see all kind of things in these works.

FAKE-Ism ; The ISM to fake an artform. When you want to belong into a specific group by faking the techniques and motives that belong to that specific ISM. Applied this to mail-art for a few years but never published gthe documents I made in 1998 and 1999.

Another envelope travels to Ryosuke Cohem to be part of the Braincell project. Soon the 1000th issue will come. It is expected end of this year 2017. Ryosuke has told he will continue the braincells as long as he can. So the collection grows and spreads over the network.

For a good Digital Cause is a new work I made yesterday. Making digital work is something completely different to working with pen and ink on thick paper and finish the drawing of with russian watercolour. The digital grawings os scans might travel the world, but this original work is unique and only can be in one place. Also holding a work in your hand is something else then watching a computerscreen.
Digital Works by Ruud Janssen – October 2017
In the last days I have been working on some new digital images. With the new Paint 3D programm from Microsoft you can now also choose a calligraphical pen that works quite well. The first results are published and I will see if I explore this further besides the work with pen and ink.
