In the summer I was abroad for a few weeks, and when I returned I found some very nice pieces of mail-art at the P.O. Box. Two of them came from Heleen de Vaan (Netherlands). One of them contained an original new COW rubberstamp that Heleen has designed and made rubberstamps out. One for herself, and (lucky me) one for the TAM Rubberstamp Archive. I already printed the stamp a few times, and it looks wonderful. The names this time typically connected to Heleen’s network, and that is what the COW stamp is all about. Will use it with pleasure and will see how i can come up with another surprise for Heleen in return.
“The Eye Catcher” was the name of the object I made last week with a MiRywell 3D pen. I used several colours of ABS plastics to make it. Today I made “The Eyecatcher’s Friend”, another object made with the 3D pen, this time black, grey, white, brown, gold and Beige PLA plastics. The connection is there since the first object has the nodes to detect, and the other object is sending all these signals.
Will try to make a few better photos when there is sunlight.
A historic piece of Mail-Art. A small soft plasti ball, sent to Magreet Dollman, a moderator of the national TV who did a live show and reacted to comments. I sent her this piece of mail-Art and she showed it and commented on it on National TV. Milions saw a piece of mail-art, bur probably forgot. I documented the sending, so that is what is left.
Sent in 1991 to Dutch National TV show on VPRO Television in Hilversum.
A work by Ruud Janssen: penholder made with a 3D pen (MiRywell 3D pen with ABS plastics). The holder makes the pen very accesible; you can just grab is. Also when working with pen and ink, you can leave the not-dry pen and brushes on this holder too. So a practical tool. Made in Breda, Netherlands, June 12th 2016.
