In the summer I was abroad for a few weeks, and when I returned I found some very nice pieces of mail-art at the P.O. Box. Two of them came from Heleen de Vaan (Netherlands). One of them contained an original new COW rubberstamp that Heleen has designed and made rubberstamps out. One for herself, and (lucky me) one for the TAM Rubberstamp Archive. I already printed the stamp a few times, and it looks wonderful. The names this time typically connected to Heleen’s network, and that is what the COW stamp is all about. Will use it with pleasure and will see how i can come up with another surprise for Heleen in return.
Mail-Art that is on its way to Amstelveen to Heleen de Vaan, Netherlands. Also a thank you for the lovely rubberstamp “You’ve got Mail” which she sent me as a Christmas present. Somehow there is an error in the address label. Mjust have printed the extra R sometimes, and now it reads not Heleen, but Herleen. maybe next time it is Hermelijn, en it will change into an imagenairy animal since she collects them,
After being 2 weeks abroad I found with the incoming mail-art this box from Jack Latteman (Cascadia Artpost) in USA. Besides the formal USA postage sticker he also included on the backside lots of own postage that looked quite good:
The surprise came when I opened the parcek and found this large and wonderful rubberstamp for the TAM-Archives, but for sure also to use it on outgoing mail:
Thanks Jack, for this wonderfuls surprise. It is very much appreciated. Will need some time to settle after being away for two weeks, and then will start with trying to answer some of the incoming mail…….
