New 3D pen work in Progress

From the firm Karsten (see link below text) I received a new 3D pen to test. They included also a lot of Filament, so that will be an interesting test. Above you see the pen and the in-between result of the object I am working on. The pen works very well indeed. It is faster then the MyRiwell 3D pen I normally use. The nozzle is a bit smaller, so you can work more precize, and also you can adjust the temperature by hand, which is very handy.

The control of the 3D pen is good, it works constant and you can adjust the speed if you need to (for detail work). I noticed that when you stop, it does a little delay, probably to save the noosle from clogging.

The included filament was ABS which I am used to work with. Bright colours and I put the temperature a few degrees higher so the outcoming filament was very smooth and that shows in the result. This form works from Amsterdam. They even sell their new 3d pens through the Media markt and Action shops at quite a cheal price. So 3D pens have become available for everybody now.

Traditional Mail Art Catalogs – They still exist!

In 2017 I got these catalogs of Mail-Art project in the mail. Above a project done by the Stickerdude (Joel Cohen) in NY – USA, and below two catalogs that Uli Grohmann (Germany) did. Although a lot goes digital thee days, the hardcopies are still my favorites. You can go through the pages, and digitize them, but the booklet will survive the times for sure whuile the digital images go into the websiotes and social media and somehow are difficult to find after some time…..
